The Case XX Platts Jigged Yellow Bone Peanut is a compact pocket knife that carries with it a proud American heritage. Built with precision in Bradford, Pennsylvania, this knife is part of the storied Platts Jigged Yellow Bone Series, a line that honors the craftsmanship and tradition that’s defined Case for generations. Each knife in the series is fitted with mirror-polished Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades, known for their ability to hold an edge and resist corrosion while still being easy to maintain. On this Peanut model, you’ll find a handy clip point blade paired with a smaller pen blade, both equipped with nail nicks for reliable opening. At just 2.88 inches closed and weighing only 1.1 ounces, it’s a small knife with big capability, perfect for everyday carry and light tasks.
The handle is crafted from genuine yellow bone, treated with Case’s time-honored Platts jigging pattern. This jigging provides a textured, classic look while also giving you a sure grip. Brass pins and liners add durability, while nickel silver bolsters and the iconic Case shield tie it all together with traditional styling. Every detail speaks to the craftsmanship you’d expect from a knife made in the USA, and this Peanut captures that blend of function and heritage in a truly timeless design.
***Case knife handles are made from only top-quality and legally-harvested natural materials such as Deer Stag, Buffalo Horn, Cattle Bone, Mother-of-Pearl or Exotic Hardwoods as well as durable and resilient synthetic materials like Corelon or Delrin. Due to Case Knives' new policy, U.S. retailers are no longer allowed to sell outside the U.S.A.! International orders that contain Case knives will be cancelled.***
Note: Because we use hand-crafting and natural materials your knife may not look exactly as depicted.
BLADES
Clip
The Clip blade is extremely versatile — just the thing for those everyday tasks at work or around the house. With a sharp point for piercing, the shape allows for better control of the cutting edge.

Pen
The Pen blade shape was originally designed to cut and sharpen turkey quills for use as ink pens. Today, it still makes a great blade for light-duty work.
