Chain: The chain mouthpiece is mild yet more aggressive than a two or three piece snaffle mouthpiece.
Correction: 4 moving parts allow the horse to respond to subtle rein pressure, reducing heavy rein handling. Copper bars keep the horse’s mouth moist.
Spoon Port: The spoon port creates greater contact against the pallet, increasing the intensity of the feel of this bit.
Ported Chain: Slight pallet pressure with good tongue relief. More feel across the bars than a regular chain.
This low port mouthpiece is made of 1/2" sweet iron with inlaid copper strips in the center of the port. The height of the port measures 1 1/3" which doesn't quite reach the pallet on most horses. This port allows even pull and is considered mild in severity.
